Smith Playground, Philadelphia | Leaders and Legends 2023 + 2022 Displays

Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse, located in East Fairmount Park, has been a treasured destination for over 100 years. Smith strives to be Philadelphia’s foremost resource for play by providing opportunities for unstructured creative play for children 10 and younger.

Each year, Smith honors and celebrates Black History month with their “Leaders and Legends” exhibition. This free, family-friendly event honors the contributions of local African American leaders across the fields of activism, architecture, education, finance, journalism, medicine, science, and performing and visual arts whose impact has made Philly a better place to live, work, grow and play.

The exhibition is made up of educational displays focusing on each honoree’s life and achievements.

CBS News did a feature on the installation which you can check out here.

“You Can’t Buy Love, But You Can Rescue It” | Event film

“You Can’t Buy Love, But You Can Rescue It,” was created in partnership with Freshfly for the Pennsylvania SPCA’s premiere fundraising gala, Bark and Whine.

As the keystone of the evening’s event (and in tandem with other fundraising efforts), we raised upwards of $1 million dollars.

I served as the production manager, content advisor, assistant editor, and project manager for this film and many other aspects of the event.
